Who qualifies for the free Partner plan?

Any business that is actively ordering products from Toolcat — retailers and industry customers alike. While that trading relationship is active you get the full toolkit free, with no product limit. Ask your Toolcat contact, or sign up and mention your account; we switch it on. If you stop trading with us, the workspace stays yours and simply moves to a paid plan (or read-only export) — your data is never held hostage.

What counts as a product?

One packaged product, held as one dossier. The dossier carries every component of that product, its evidence, its target markets and its audit state — so a 0.5 litre bottle with a cap and a label is one product, not three. The limit is what you hold at once, not what you do per month: regenerate documents as often as you like.

What happens when we reach the product limit?

You cannot add a new product until you upgrade or delete one you no longer sell — that is all. Everything already in the workspace keeps working: existing products stay fully editable, documents regenerate without limits, and export is never blocked. Re-importing your own catalogue also keeps working at the limit; only additions count against it.

What happens at the end of the trial?

Nothing is deleted. The workspace becomes read-only until a plan is chosen, and a full JSON export stays available so your data is never held hostage.

Why is this so much cheaper than a compliance service?

Because the work is yours. A consultancy sells you an expert who does the work for you and charges for every hour of it; this sells you the structure to do it yourself — the checklist of what applies, the calculators, the organized evidence, the generated drafts.
